Tremont and Ai Weiwei

Joe and I journeyed to Cleveland to visit our beloved Tremont Family and view a special exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
I have never seen Amy look happier!

I love their orange bedroom and Noah's study corner.

At the Cleveland Museum of Art...
We are so fortunate to live just an hour away from this magnificent museum!

On the way into the museum...

Mama Duck marched right past us!

 Make way for ducklings!

 What a parade...

 Time for lunch...

 What is Abe thinking?

He kicked off his blanket and seemed to enjoy wiggling his toes...

The food was superb!  I think Noah looks like a Bohemian writer...

 Abe is getting so big!

 Contentment...

Abe is probably figuring out a way to take off his socks when Mommy isn't looking.

I am so happy to be part of Abe's FIRST trip to a museum!

Now for the exhibit we were all eager to see...

Ai Weiwei is a Chinese artist/activist who is currently under "country arrest" in China.  He is an incredibly fascinating man with quite a story.
His Sunflower exhibit featured 8 million porcelain beads painted by Chinese artists!

This traveling public installation exhibit features twelve animals inspired by the Yuanming Yuan Fountain.

 The Rat

 The Ox

 The Tiger

 The Rabbit

 The Dragon

The Snake

 The Horse

 The Ram

The Monkey

The Rooster

 The Dog

 And the Boar...

 Now that's some balancing act!

Joe's favorite modern art piece of the day...

Noah introduced me to this artist last year...

I can't wait to give Abe the Pollock art kit with lots of big pieces of paper and squirt bottles filled with paint someday!

 My favorite...

My son and grandson.

 Back home...
Treasures of the day.

Later...
Amy sent me a picture of Abe looking at his new art book from Grandpa Joe and Oma.
He is so excited about the pictures, he can't keep his arms still...
That's our boy!

~It was the best of days~
