Abe's Happy Evening

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands...

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands...

If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it...

If you're happy and you know it...clap your hands!

 Thank you...Thank you very much!

 Hi Mommy!  Bath time?  Yay!!!

Singing, a splashy bath, and now pretending to be a shark...
~Life is good for our dear little Abe~

A Weekend of Sunshine

My California sister, Kate, is on her way to Ohio for a short visit.  We haven't seen each other since May, so I am beyond excited!  Cassi and I are sharing Kate and on Sunday many of us will gather in Bay Village for a family reunion...
~Happy times~

Sketching at the Car Dealer

Yesterday, Brooke and I spent two and a half hours at the car dealer and I started sketching a little bag of Teddy Grahams.
Of course, I altered the picture of a bit and altogether enjoyed my waiting time.
Brooke graded papers...not as much fun!

Pig Beach

Tommy has just returned from an exciting sailing adventure and has a surprise for his friend, Gracie Rose.

Tommy has the most amazing story to share with his fellow animal lover.

As Director of Adventure Island in Hittyville, Tommy is always keeping up with the latest wildlife news.
He had heard about a little uninhabited island in the Bahamas where once domesticated...but now feral...pigs lived and swam!
Tommy just had to check out Pig Beach.

Tommy could not believe his eyes!

Two pigs seemed quite insistent that Tommy follow them.

It's a good thing Tommy understands Pig-ese because the Mayor of Pig Island had a special request for Tommy.
There was a little piglet who did not like the bright sunlight and preferred wading to swimming.  The Mayor wondered if Tommy might find a good home for the little piglet...near water...but not in a tropical location.
The Mayor went on to say he knew all about Tommy and his planned trip to Pig Beach from some migrating bird friends and he came highly recommended as a trusted animal friend.
How could Tommy say no?

The pigs of Pig Beach grunted their goodbyes to the little piglet and Tommy set sail for Hittyville....

Before Tommy could ask Gracie Rose if she would like to care for the little piglet, Gracie offered the cutest little friend a home with her!

Gracie Rose loves all animals, but pigs are her favorite...which Tommy was well aware of.
Gracie Rose thanked Tommy with her whole heart!

Later...
Gracie Rose cannot believe how fast her little piglet has adjusted to life in Hittyville!
Now to choose just the right name.
Hmm...How about Sandy?

~It was the best of days for Gracie Rose and Sandy~

Sketching Ginny

The first doll I loved with my whole heart...Ginny!

I am having fun with my newest passion...sketching!

My Next Series

I finished...sadly...the Parrish/Jordon series and have moved on to the Grandma's Attic books.
I love series that take you from the character's childhood to adulthood...
Can't wait to get started!

For Charlie, Cassi, and Janet

Once upon a time in Bay Village, Ohio, there were four friends...including two sisters...who spent their wonderful childhood together.
~Vicki Elliott, Charlie Putsch, Cassi Elliott, and Janet Ashman~

Vicki loved her dolls and books...and still does.

Charlie was a whiz at golf and eventually became a professional with his own golf course!

Cassi was a standing broad jump Junior Olympics champion and I think her state record still holds today!

Janet was the most gifted of organists and I remember enjoying listening to her practice.  I understand she is still very involved in the music world.

When we weren't busy with family, school, and all our activities, some combination of the four friends found their way to one another...

~Those were the best of times~

Abe Visits the Farm

 Hello Friends!
Mommy, Daddy, and Me visited the Farm yesterday.  My dog sisters had their grooming appointment with Betsy and when they do, we always get to spend time with Grandpa Joe, Oma, Auntie Brooke and all their animals!

I love Tibs.  She is a Shih Tzu, just like my sisters.  I am glad I understand her language.  Tibs is wondering if I would like to share my pacifier with her.
I told her I was sorry, but I just had one with me today and I kind of needed it.

Gypsy was hoping I had some food to give her.  She also wanted to lick my ears.
YUCK!

Oma gave my very first Cheerios.  I finally got the hang of picking them up and putting them in my mouth, but they felt funny going down my throat.  Even though I chewed them up, they still were not very smooth.
I threw most of them to Gypsy, who seemed to like the Cheerios much more than I did.

I was excited to visit the Guinea Pigs, but they hid from me this time.

I really didn't mind because there is SO much to look at in Oma's Hittyville World!

And then...
Oma made a drumset for me using a pot and wooden spoon!
SO MUCH FUN!
Lots of firsts for me today...

Oma read me a book about Vincent Van Gogh and other artists.  Every picture had something for me to touch and I loved it so much Oma gave it to me.
I started to get a bit fussy because I was so tired and then I fell asleep in Oma's arms.  Oma likes to sing to me and give me lots of kisses on my head.
My dog sisters were all done with their grooming and it was time for us to head home.
I really did have a great time!

Back in Tremont...
Lucy and Ellie wanted to have their picture taken to show all of you how beautiful they look with their new haircuts.
I sure do love my dog sisters!

~See you next time...Love from Abe~

Around Hittyville

Joe is very grateful for his new well with all the flowers he needs to keep watered.

As President of the Hittyville Garden Club, Eloise DuPont offered to help Vicki set up her Conservatory.  The ladies have also decided to use the Conservatory as a shop one afternoon a week.

Eloise can't believe how many Hittyville Friends visited their shop yesterday.
The extra Garden Accessories are all gone!

At the Merry Homestead...
Daisy loves the family's new toadstool table and chairs they found at Hittyville's new Conservatory Shop.
Gemma and Bea ask their mother if they can still make wishing well wishes even though their wishing well is being used as a big flower pot.
Bella assures her children they can!

Poppy's grandfather has 2 BIG surprises for his granddaughter.  The Hittyville Conservatory had 2 Poppy Trees in their inventory and Pierre Dupont just knew they belonged with another Poppy!

Spring is definitely in the air...at least in Hittyville.

My FIrst Paris Letter

 How exciting!

On the back of my envelope...

Love this!

Janice also included a little treat...

~I look forward to my next Paris Letter~

Abe's Art Gallery

Abe's little art gallery is filling up...

~Love~

Next Project

My Felt Friends were inspired by the genius of Jean Greenhowe and today I remembered how much fun these canvases were to make.
Tomorrow I think I will start another felt canvas, but this time based on my very own Hittyville Friends!

Thought for the Day

Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.
~Roald Dahl~
I believe in magic.
