Hi Sharon! I hope to see Susan when she is in Ohio...Hudson is not too far from us. Will you be able to meet her? It would be nice to have a Girlfriend Gathering Weekend with Susan at some point. I know authors and artists do that all the time. Maybe we could all start a Girlfriend Journal with little stories and pictures about the Girlfriends we meet and then the adventures the weekend might hold..and then have a special British tea...It might be fun to go to an historic city with interesting Girlfriend-Like tours. Maybe watch an old Fred Astaire movie together...Susan could sell her books and maybe everyone would get a fantastic souvenir basket with an Emma Bridgewater teacup and Susan Branch-Like things...I am sure Girlfriends would pay for that kind of a special weekend! It's fun to imagine!
Vicki, thanks for responding! Your ideas sound fun; I'm sure 'girlfriends' around the globe would be excited to gather together. I'm hopeful we can book a signing somewhere along the Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast area, as Susan has indicated she & Joe plan to head south after Christmas. I actually got to meet her in 2000 at a book signing at the QVC studios in Pennsylvania; what a thrill!
