My Tribute To Helen Visser Priem

Today my Hittyville Friends are celebrating the life of their beloved creator, Helen Visser Priem, who passed on from this brief earthly sojourn to yet another glorious adventure.
I discovered Helen on the Internet and we quickly bonded as kindred spirits.
I am blessed to have crossed paths with her on my life journey.

Pippi and Mr. Nilsson are remembering how everyone thought Helen and Pippi were "soul sisters".  It must have had something to do with the red hair!

Uncle and Owl are both wise enough to know Helen's physical presence will be missed more than anyone can imagine, but her spirit will be shared with all of her creations and those who knew and loved her.

Papa Gnome and Honey have decided to name this year's honey crop "Helen's Heavenly Honey" in honor of their sweetest Helen.

Mama Gnome is being comforted by her dearest bats.  They are telling her when she hears their wings flutter, to think of them as soft whispers from their loving Helen.

Peter and Johanna are comparing stories of their "births".  Their creator, Helen, would sing soothing lullabies and tell them stories as she brought them to "life".
Badger and Piglet are also reminiscing about their wonderful early days in the Netherlands.

Sloth has been the greatest help to all of us during this difficult transition.  He reminds us to take one day at a time and rejoice in the life of our beautiful Helen and all the color she added to this world.

Helen would always close her emails and letters to me with these words...
"Love to you, dear sweet Vicki."
and so I write
Love to you, dear sweet Helen.
I am so much richer for knowing you.

    1. Hello Lorraine...Yes, Helen's passing is so incredibly sad! She really was at the height of her creative journey and had just bought her dream cottage in a German forest surrounded by all the woodland animals she loved. We are reminded to live and love each and every day...And I am blessed to have her beautiful creations in Hittyville.
