Vicki has just finished painting the Miller Homestead Gnomes. She also put the final touches on her very own creation, Rosie the Robot. Pixie Cottage is the perfect place for Rosie to stand guard.
Vicki is happy with the wall hanging she designed for the spot above the living room fireplace.
And then...
Now that was one interesting phone call. Bella wants Vicki to meet her for lunch at the Hittyville Cafe for an important conversation.
Hmm...
Granny Pickle welcomes the Friends to the Hittyville Cafe and takes their order.
Finally...
Bella received a lengthy email this morning asking her to design a paper doll book featuring French costumes. Her publisher was wondering if Bella would ask her very dear friend, Vicki...well known for her Alphabet Books...if she might be interested in creating an Alphabet Book about Paris...geared toward children.
Bella is beyond excited about the possibility of spending time in Paris together to do research for their projects and then they could visit the many sights she knows so well. After all, Bella was born and raised in Paris!
The publisher would like Vicki to contact her for all the details if this sounds like something she might want to undertake.
Vicki is overwhelmed and can't think of a more wonderful adventure.
Vicki will definitely contact Bella's publisher after she talks to Joe...who she knows will enthusiastically support this grand expedition.
Later...while waiting for Joe to come home...
Vicki was already thinking about doing a Destination Alphabet Book after reading Susan Branch's travel journal.
~Life sure works in mysterious ways~
Hey, see what happens when you remain true to your own vision and interests? A very good focus indeed!
ReplyDeleteGood luck, sounds fascinating.
Thanks, Judy! I almost feel like I am REALLY going to Paris...
