I've never heard of these books but I have a porcelain doll named Morag. She is named after Morag Gunn, the main character in Margaret Laurence's wonderful book The Diviners.
I have been meaning to make her a dress for 15 years. I'd better get cracking, eh?
Well, she's a Canadian author which might explain why you haven't heard of her. Paul Newman made a film called Rachel, Rachel that is based on Laurence's book "A Jest of God" and Ellen Burstyn acted in the movie adaptation of her book "The Stone Angel." The Diviners is my favourite and they made a Canadian TV movie of that with Sonja Smits.
However, I must tell you that she also wrote several children's books, the one I am familiar with is "The Olden Days Coat" and they made a 30 minute short movie of it in 1981 with Megan Follows (who played Anne of Green Gables in the movie adaptations of that.) WONDERFUL--you must try to get the book.
