Poppy and the Arc de Triomphe

It is a beautiful morning in Paris and Pierre and Eloise are already off to the Louvre and Monet Gardens for their meetings.
Becassine, Poppy, and Bella are planning their day.

Bella is researching the history of French paper dolls and would like to spend the day at the library, which has a wealth of information she will be able to use for her book.

Becassine has agreed to accompany Poppy to the Arc de Triomphe which is her choice for the letter A of her Paris Alphabet Book.

Poppy also made a couple of Madelines to post as her contribution to Paris' street art.

Later...
The famous war monument is just fantastic.
It was "opened" in 1836 and is a memorial to those who served in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.

 The relief artwork is magnificent.

Back at the Loft...
Poppy was able to find some wonderful Arc de Triomphe souvenirs and is ready to start the A page of her book.

Poppy is so excited she can hear the beating of her heart.
It was the best of days for the young artist!
