On This Day

Nancy Drew has an interesting tidbit of information to share with Sheriff Andy.

On this day in 1829...
Scotland Yard was formed in England.  The Yard is still in existence and is responsible for law enforcement in Greater London.  Many detectives and law enforcement officers have served this mighty institution over the years.

Since Nancy is a detective and he is a law enforcement officer, Sheriff Andy suggests the two of them celebrate Scotland Yard Day with a nice dinner at the River Café.

Hmm...Nancy doesn't know how to respond.  Just last year, Sheriff Andy proposed marriage to her and Nancy just couldn't accept.
He is really just a friend...isn't he?

~Time will tell~

And ALSO on this day...
Santa tells Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer this is a very important day in North Pole History.

Gene Autry was born on this date in 1907.  Mr. Autry was known as the "singing cowboy" on the radio, movies, and television for more than 3 decades.

Way back in 1949, Gene Autry recorded Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the world found out all about Santa's lead Reindeer.

Rudolph had NO idea he was such a famous Reindeer!

~It was quite a day in history~
