Betsy's VERY best friend in the whole wide world is Bobby! He is such an interesting boy. Really, who would have a miniature donkey named Donkey and take him along everywhere in a red wagon?

Betsy's other GREAT friend is Peppi, who claims she is a distant cousin of Pippi Longstocking! Betsy never knows what adventure she will be part of when Peppi is around. Horse and Monkey are Peppi's constant companions.
What is it with her highly imaginative friends naming their animal friends rather unimaginative names?
But then again, the names are quite easy to remember!
Aunt Virginia has come to stay with Betsy's family because Betsy's mom is going on a book tour and wants to make sure her family is well taken care of.
Betsy LOVES her Aunt Virginia and hopes she stays forever!
Grandpa raises miniature cows and found a larger size calf in his pasture. He cannot find the owner and wonders if Betsy would like to keep her for a pet.
Betsy is the biggest animal lover in the world and happily agrees to adding this precious friend to her menagerie!
