The Happiest of Surprises

Raggedy Ann and Fancy Nancy have just finished reading "Hitty" by Rachel Field.  The Friends LOVED the book and wish with all their little hearts they had their very own Hitty.

Raggedy Ann suggests they write Santa Claus a letter right away and ask him for 2 very special Hitty Friends for Christmas.

Fancy Nancy agrees that is the BEST of ideas.

Meanwhile...

Marcella and Saige understand how their little Doll Friends feel about Hitty.

Saige knows how much she loves Fancy Nancy and Marcella wouldn't be Marcella without her very own Raggedy Ann.

Marcella has an idea!

A week later...

Hittyville's Doll Maker, Paulette, has just finished a special order for 2 Hitty Friends.  Paulette decided to make an extra Hitty and is not even sure why.
Now to deliver the 2 Hittys to the Climbing Rocks by Frog Pond...as instructed.

A bit later...

The Hittyville Friends are enjoying the sunny afternoon and taking a long walk around Hittyville Park.

Saige asks Raggedy Ann and Fancy Nancy if they would like to go Rock Climbing.  Saige adds there is a surprise for each of them on the Rocks.

The Doll Friends would love to stretch their legs after such a long, but fun buggy ride.
And a surprise?  What could it be?

And then...

Fancy Nancy and Raggedy Ann cannot believe their eyes!  Christmas in July?

Fancy Nancy hasn't been this happy since she found Saige and Frenchy!
She is going to name her new Friend...Fancy Hitty.

Raggedy Ann has to be the luckiest little Doll Friend in the whole world!  She belongs to Marcella and has Camel as her beloved pet...and now...Raggedy Hitty!

On the other side of Frog Pond...

Parry and her little Doll Friend, Pollyanna, along with Honey, think Hittyville is a wonderful place to live.  The only thing missing is a Friend...for each of them!

  2. Aren't the tiny Hittys just too cute?

If you ever want to sew for them, Paulette's toddler dress pattern with the gathered skirt makes a perfect tiny Hitty dress.
